Well another successful social event has been and gone, 'A Question of Lard' was a sports quiz based on the popular TV quiz show 'A Question of Sport' and, just like the the TV show, the teams faced the ever popular rounds; the picture board, the home or away round, what happens next and the missing names round!
Along with the Question of sport rounds the teams faced 5 other rounds which were; A to Z, HFC, True or False, Everything and Anything and Top 5 !

So with the picture board set up, the rules explained, and the teams settled ready for the challenge ahead, we began with home or away, A to Z and the picture board in which the teams were allowed to choose which set of picturess they got to name.

All 5 teams started well with only 2 points between the top 3 teams. Rotten Apples took the early lead ahead of Big Dom and Norfolk Enchance. But things all changed in the next round when big dom and Norfolk Enchance took the top spot with 35 points each, just a point ahead of Rotten Apples.
After a very closely contested quiz, which saw the top 4 teams swap position constantly thought out the night, with one round to go the table looked like this:

Norfolk enchance 62
Big Dom 59
Rotten Apples 55
Nevilles O.G 55
Not a Scooby Doo 40

With only the top 5 round left ,and a maximum of 10 points up for grabs, any of the top 4 could win the top prize but, despite a good round for Rotten Apples and Big Dom, it still wasn't good enough to knock Norfolk Enchance from the top.

So congratulations goes to the Norfolk Enchance team who won £24 for 1st place and also congratulations to Big Dom who won £14 for second place!

There was 1 other team to take a prize away with them. Not a Scooby Doo won the booby prize for coming last after spending all night at the wrong end of the points table and they won a chicken samosa !

Once again I would like to say a big thank your to all the teams who took part and to all those who helped advertise the event and, finally, congratulations to Norfolk Enchance the winners of the First Ever ' A Question of Lard'
