The first HISC Darts competition took place in the Queen Street clubhouse and what a competition it was ! Two competitions were held (301 & 501) with eight competitors in each, including Gary 'The Charmer' Charman and Brian 'The Horn' Horn.

Once everyone had settled down, the draw was made for each competition and play got underway. After many an exciting game, we were finally down to the last four in each competition and the semi-final draw was made:

501 semi-final
The Jimster v The Goat - The Jimster, having seen off one of the Clarke family, now found himself up against the Brother on the Money Shot and one of the pre-match favourites.
The Redhill Rocket v The Majestic - having won against The Gerbil, Majestic found himself against one of the strongest players in the semi-finals

301 semi-final
Al 'Capone' v Fat Dickie - Al' Capone' was looking for revenge for the defeat of Fat Dickie's son 'The Bean' in the first round.
Emzie v The Flutest - billed as the Battle of Gorings Mead'

The Jimster battled as hard as he possibly could but was no match for The Goat who showed his true class as moved onwards into the final. In a match that everyone was looking forward to, the Redhill Rocket fired past The Majestic to launch himself into the final to face The Goat

Semi-final results - 301
Fat Dickie finally stopped gloating over his son's 1st round defeat to concentrate on finally seeing off AL 'Capone' in a close semi-final round. The Battle of Gorings Mead finished in a brutal fight as neither player wanted to lose, However, the final blow was delivered by....The Flutest !

Time for the final and both sets of players started to feel the pressure as the minutes ticked past and the countdown to the moment of truth approached !!

Fat Dickie to throw first. Game on ! After a long and tiring game, Richie 'The Flutest' overcame Fat Dickie to claim the HISC 301 crown ! 2-1 the final score

501 final (best of 3) - The Goat v The Redhill Rocket
The Redhill Rocket to throw first. Game on ! It was an even match until The Goat had a moment of brilliance and checked out on 122 ! In the next, a missed double by the Redhill Rocket gave The Goat a title win. 2-0 final score
